This one hour treatment is a curative medical foot care procedure, which significantly differs from the classical cosmetic pedicure.
It not only improves the well-being of the feet, but also combats foot, skin and nail issues whilst taking care of your foot health in the long run.
Using a podiatric drill, medical instruments and medical solutions, your nails will be inspected, trimmed, filed and shaped, whilst calluses and corns will be removed using a surgical blade.
The session finishes with relaxing foot massage using Gehwol foot cream. We will also look to give you advice and answer all your foot related questions. We can also paint your nails and you are welcome to bring your own nail polish.
No water is used during the treatment to ensure exceptionally long lasting results.
The quality foot care provided by a course of Medical Pedicure is helpful for everyone but especially so if you suffer from foot conditions such as:
Involute or ingrowing toenails
Hard dry skin
Verrucae and warts
Good foot health is also particularly important for diabetics and the elderly.
The development of diabetes reduces the blood supply to the feet, which can lead to circulatory and sensory disorders such as a loss of feeling known as peripheral neuropathy. This can stop foot injuries from healing properly. The Medical pedicure hampers the development of foot skin damages (which can help to prevent resultant ulcers).
Medical pedicures are also very beneficial for the elderly as mobility restrictions and blurred vision can lead to feet not being kept in good condition, resulting in unpleasant health problems.
